All great things are born out of necessity;

...and SeaforceTM is no exception!

In 1986, having seen a need in the recreational boating market for a high performance composite craft, SeaforceTM set about refining their first design. The result was the hugely successful 16ft SeaforceTM Utility. Its mass appeal, especially to fishermen, was the result of extensive consumer input, setting  benchmarks  for the recreational boating industry. Other designs quickly followed including the Intrepid, Adventurer, Ranger 444 and the super stable Robson Kona Cat.

Next was the 645 MAV (multi activity vessel) in 1999 followed by the 575 in 2001.

In 2002 the extremely popular SeaforceTM 575 was renamed the 600 and a dedicated fisherman model was added. Its release in 2003 was met with huge excitement and resulted in a flurry of awards including the Best GRP fishing boat under 6m at the New Zealand Boat Show five years running and the under $50,000.00 GRP package at the Christchurch Boat Show.

While the 600 Fisherman was turning heads, a smaller runabout designed to be affordable and easy-to-handle was also bringing in the awards. The SeaforceTM 430 Winna has won the Best All Purpose boat Under 6m in 2003 and 2005 at the New Zealand Boat Show proving SeaforceTM as a leading brand in the recreational boat market.

In 2006 SeaforceTM released the 675 Hardtop Fisherman, appealing to the offshore boatie, the 675 Hardtop Fisherman has a large cockpit space, and state-of-the-art game fishing features.

In 2008 we released the first true fibreglass pontoon boat, the 530 Mate. This boat won the Hellman International Innovation Award at the New Zealand Boat Show, with its superb lines, exceptional stability and safety.

In 2009, SeaforceTM took another new model, the 530 Ute, to the New Zealand Boat Show with great success, winning the under 6m GRP Fishing Boat of the Show.

In 2014, SeaforceTM relocated to a new purpose-built boat building factory across town, in Riverlea. We redeveloped our association with Honda and Tohatsu allowing us to provide competitive packages direct from the factory in Hamilton. Tohatsu is known for their reliability and their rugged construction, and Honda has the highest levels of efficiency and a superior performance.

In 2015 the Pontoon 530 Skipa was released in the Hutchwilco Boat Show with great enthusiasm and success. We are continuing to develop our range of Pontoon designs with a 7 meter in the prototype stage.

Each SeaforceTM boat is proudly built in New Zealand by skilled boat builders who take enormous pride in seeing each project through to completion. It's this high standard of finishing and attention to detail that has enabled Seaforce to win so many awards and continue to stay at the top end of the recreational boating market.
